Beginner Course
No Membership Required
Over four weeks, learn to sail a small responsive boat. In our beginner level program, our Sail Canada certified instructor will introduce you to key sailing concepts: balance, propulsion and direction at a CANSail 1 and 2 level. National Yacht Club proudly offers this program in our fleet of C420s, easy to use, 14-foot instructional sailboats. Whether you’re a beginner or want to brush up on skills from the past, this course will be both challenging and rewarding. Don’t miss the boat, sign up today!
Based on the successful operation of our adult dinghy learn to sail programs in 2020, we will again request that participants sign up for the program with a sailing partner from their "social circle". Participants will sail with their designated sailing partner exclusively.
Please Note: Although theoretical material from both CANSail 1 and CANSail 2 levels is covered during the course, there is no guarantee that participants will achieve both levels.
